Wills and name changes are handled through our Deed Room / Probate Department. After a will or a name change is approved by Probate Court they will be brought to the Hopkins County Clerk’s Office to be recorded.
- The recording fees are $8.00.
- Name change fees are $8.00.
Once recorded and indexed, the will or name change is imaged and microfilmed, the original being retained by the Clerk’s Office.
The fee to obtain a copy of a recorded will or name change is $5.00.
